The successful candidate will play a vital role in building sophisticated industry data models and forecasts that underpin MIDiA’s research, analysis, and advisory services. They will deliver and manage world class datasets, that our blue-chip client base rely upon to inform business strategy and decision making.

MIDiA’s high-impact research and analysis focuses on where media and tech meet, and where entertainment formats overlap. We are looking for someone with excellent data modelling skills who is excited to apply them to the digital entertainment market.
You will be part of MIDiA’s expert Data Team, serving our client base of leading global entertainment and technology companies. You will have at least 2 years of experience related to modelling and forecasting, ideally within a field connected to digital entertainment, media, consulting, or finance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Build, maintain, and improve industry models and forecasts for music, video, games, podcasts and moreWork closely with the MIDiA industry analysts and consultants to support their work with robust datasetsConduct desk, company and industry research to provide inputs into industry models, including manual data collection from third party sourcesKeep informed of industry trends and developmentsContribute to ideation and concept building within the modelling teamContribute to thinking and analysis that helps our clients drive success in the digital entertainment marketplaceBuild bespoke models and forecasts as part of consulting projectsAssist with day to day data work as part of the Data Team
The ideal skills and experience for this role are:
Minimum of two years’ experience related to modelling and forecastingA bachelors or masters degree in a quantitative subject (Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or Economics would be well suited)A strong academic background with AAA or above at A-level (or equivalent), including MathematicsTrack record of building, structuring, and maintaining sophisticated Excel models - excellent Excel skills are essentialAbility to identify trends and patterns in data, and extract meaningful insights from a variety of data sourcesA rigorous understanding of the underlying mathematics used to underpin modelling methodsA proven understanding of forecasting methodologies and techniquesForensic level of attention to detail coupled with an ability to zoom out to the macro industry viewData visualisation and presentation skills will be beneficial, along with experience using PowerpointAbility to write and communicate logically and clearly, and to relay complex concepts in an impactful and digestible manner

KEY DETAILS AND LOCATION
Salary offer dependent on experience, circa £30,000-£40,000 PA.
The role is hybrid - mostly working from home with regular commuting into our London offices (around 2 days per week)
MIDiA works 9am-6pm, Monday through Friday.
